What the register is
The Register of Licensed Sponsors is the Home Office's public list of employers approved to sponsor Skilled Worker, Health and Care Worker, Global Business Mobility, and other work visas. It is published as a spreadsheet and updated most working days. Being on the register does not guarantee a job offer or a visa, and being absent from it does not always mean an employer has stopped sponsoring, since the register can lag behind a real change and names can be listed slightly differently from how a company is commonly known.
What removal can mean for employees
If your Certificate of Sponsorship is cancelled because your employer's sponsor licence has ended, your visa is normally cut short to 60 days from the date UKVI notifies you. In that time you can apply for a new visa, including with a new sponsor, switch to another route you qualify for, or leave the UK. Full official guidance is at gov.uk/employee-lose-sponsor-licence. This tool cannot tell you why an employer's listing changed. If your job depends on sponsorship, speak to your employer and consider getting immigration advice.
